Laptop Repairs

Laptops are marvellous, I for one certainly could not do with out mine! and when they go wrong its like someone cutting off your right arm! well all is not lost, I repair any issue with your laptop be it a new keyboard (i'm on my third!) new display, new hard drive or even CPU I can repair these for you. Sometimes though the cost of repair may out way the cost of replacement and in such cases I would advise that you should perhaps sell it for spares or repair on ebay and then put the money towards a nice new one.

I tend to get a lot of laptops in for repair normally hard drives or the laptop keeps hanging, the former requiring a new hard drive and is a simple process of copying your data from the old one to the new one.

BEWARE there are lots of programs out there that will copy data from disk to disk, if you do undertake this process your self ensure that the disk you are copying from is not damaged or contains bad sectors as these will copy over to your new disk and then automatically make your new disk faulty as well. The latter is mainly due to heat, laptops tend to be used on duvets and pillows when used at home and they can suck in a lot of dust and hair and once past your cooling fan the particles get nicely knitted together into a miniture blanket that prevents the CPU from getting the required cooling, this inturn burns out/dries up the heat conductor paste between your cpu and heat sink and over heats the cpu causing your system to 'hang' or 'lock up'
