Computer Repairs

Has your computer crashed? Blue Screen of Death? Dont panic I can help! much of these 'problems' that we encounter from time to time are due to software updates, malware, spyware or down to software that collides with another installed program or piece of software. I can usually fix these errors within the hour or in some cases (where software updates need to be re-installed) a few hours at least, but normally you would have your PC back to you the next day in full working order.

On the odd occasion we can suffer hardware failure, this can be in the way of a disk drive malfunctioning, or RAM failing again I can fix these issues for you in the way of replacement components. All components that I replace come with a 12 month warranty (including hard drives).

Prolong the life of your PC

Every computer whether its a laptop or a desktop or even a server all hate one thing HEAT!

Very odd considering they generate enough of it. consider this when I design comms rooms for companies we have to work out the BTU rating of each server and work out how many BTU's of heat will be out put by the amount of servers in the room. This is because we have to decide how much cooling these servers will need for them to run comfortably and without overheating.

Your PC at home or in the office is also affectd by heat, so where your PC is situated is important and every now and then its worth getting the inside cleaned and having all those years of dust and animal hair thats been sucked into your PC cleaned out. Because this can affect the fan performance on your processor and we need to keep this cool.

  • Try and keep your PC off the carpet or floor.
  • Make sure there is adequate space around your PC
  • Dont let your PC become a shelf or book end - this could disturb the air flow through your PC
  • Dont place your PC next to another heat source - such as a radiator

If you get stuck or need advice we cover most areas in Oxfordshire including Oxford give us a call we'll be glad to help.
